Directing
“As a director, Martha simultaneously serves the actor and the script. When working with her I always knew that I was indeed helping to tell a story, but that she also saw me as an actor in development, continually giving me new tools to use and new growth to find. Best of all, she accomplishes all that without you realizing. The play and spontaneity she brings to rehearsal makes the whole experience a joy, and she is the best director I've ever worked with.”
- Rebecca Noon, actor San Francisco, CA
“Under Martha's direction and guidance, I opened the door to entirely new worlds as an artist and also as a human being. The impact of her mentoring still influences both my personal and professional life nearly 30 years later. Her commitment to creating a more peaceful world inspires, uplifts, and challenges me to use my voice to continue this dream.”
- Esther Ouray, actor, Minneapolis, MN
As the Artistic Director of At the Foot of the Mountain theater in Minneapolis, I directed most of the company’s major productions, often working with the company over many months to create the play. In the Bay Area I have directed for A Traveling Jewish Theater and for The Faithful Fools Street Ministry. Please contact me if you are seeking a director for your play.
